| The Jefa tangential terminal units are suitable for
sailing yachts from 30' to 55' with a maximum quadrant radius of 300 mm
for type 1, and 500 mm for type 2. The articulated terminal unit is used
when the quadrant faces in the aft direction of the yacht. The conduit
cables with both exit in forward direction, avoiding extra bends. The
sheave sets on the terminal unit are easy to align to both the
horizontal and vertical plane keeping the bends of the conduit cable to
the absolute minimum.
Fabricated from AlMgSi1 plating, the Jefa articulated terminal unit
offers a strong and reliable solution for cable in conduit steered
sailing yachts. The rubber covered block in the middle of the unit runs
inside the Jefa 80° quadrants and acts as a travel limiter for the
rudder.
The articulated terminal unit is available as type 1 for quadrants up
until 300 mm radius with 100 mm delrin sheaves for 5 mm steering wire
and as type 2 for quadrants up until 500 mm radius with 140 mm delrin
sheaves for 6 mm steering wire.
